Why Start Barber School Before the Year Ends?
Starting now puts you ahead. You can turn the new year into the year you learn a real skill. Here is why a November start makes sense:
- You finish sooner. Every month you wait is a month later that you can earn your license.
- You build momentum. Many people make a plan for the new year. You will already be in class.
- You learn during the busy season. The holidays are a big time for haircuts. You get to see how a busy shop works.
- You lock in your seat. Class sizes are small, so seats fill up fast.
Pick the Schedule That Fits Your Life
We know you have a life outside of school. That is why we offer more than one way to train.
Full Time
Full time is the fastest path. It is a great fit if you can make school your main focus. All three campuses offer a full time class starting November 16.
Part Time
Part time lets you keep your job or care for your family while you train. Our San Jose and Modesto campuses offer a part time class starting November 16.
Weekend (Concord Only)
Our weekend class is made for people who work during the week. The Concord weekend class starts November 9, one week before the other start dates.
What You Will Learn
Our barbering program is 1,000 clock hours. That is the amount of training California requires before you can take the state barber exam. You will learn:
- Classic cuts, fades, and modern styles
- Shaves and beard design
- Hair and scalp care
- Safety and sanitation
- How to build a client base and run your chair like a business
- How to get ready for the California State Board exam
You will practice on real clients on our clinic floor. You learn by doing, with skilled instructors by your side.
